Jakarta, December 4th 2019.
A special event to close off 2019 was held by the Indonesian Pediatric Cancer Foundation (YKAI) in collaboration with MODENA. The event was to raise charity packaged with a cooking class and a fundraiser charity event with the help of the renowned MODENA Chef, Norman Ismail.
The public event launched in the morning that ended with a lunch with the donors, observers and attendees along with guests that have the common interest in helping children who are fighting cancer to cook alongside Chef Norman Ismail. Chef Norman demonstrated how to prepare dishes that have been developed to lift up the senses without forgetting to keep them all healthy. The recipes were all specially presented by Chef Norman himself for this Charity Cooking Class with YKAI and MODENA.
The dish that was prepared by the guests was Roasted Chicken with Sauteed Mix Mushrooms as the main course and Strawberry Cheesecake as the dessert.
The Purpose of Charity Cooking Class with MODENA
The event was created as a Corporate Social Responsibility from MODENA for YKAI by giving the exact nominal value stated on the invitation to the foundation. This furthers the campaign of “Restoring the Smile of Healthy Indonesian Children” that was first realized by YKAI as an activity to help restoring happiness for the children who are fighting cancer and underprivileged families, to make them healthy and to be able to go back to school again to achieve their goals and dreams.
“Thank you to MODENA that has given us the chance to use their kitchen to make the Charity Cooking Class. Each of the children who are diagnosed with cancer have the right to receive good treatment and care. The support from everyone surely will help to restore faith to the children and underprivileged families,” said Sallyana Sorongan, the founder of the Indonesian Pediatric Cancer Foundation (YKAI).
